We are looking for a site technician to support construction supervision on civil and electrical infrastructure projects, working alongside our engineers on rotations in Canada and Africa.
What you will do
- Carry out daily site inspection of earthworks, formwork, reinforcement and concrete placement against approved drawings.
- Keep survey control, take measurements and record quantities for progress payments.
- Maintain the site diary, non conformance records and photographic record.
- Support the health, safety and environmental plan on site and report hazards immediately.
- Assist with as built markups and hand over documentation.
What we are looking for
- Technical diploma in civil engineering technology, building construction or a related field.
- Two or more years on active construction sites.
- Comfortable with survey instruments and with reading construction drawings.
- Willing to work rotations away from home, including in remote locations.
- Valid driver licence, and a passport suitable for international travel.
