Overview
The challenge. Three existing villas on the TPC premises in N’Djamena needed to become modern office space for TOTCO — a conversion, not a new build, which meant working within existing structures, bringing interiors, finishes and services up to office standard, and doing it on an occupied corporate site where the client’s operations continued around the works.
Our approach. As the owner’s consultant, TAWARA SARL provided quality control and assurance over the works from start of construction through to handover. Our engineers reviewed and accepted materials and workmanship stage by stage — from the interior partitions of the office fit-out through to the exterior finishes and paved walkways — prepared the minutes of every progress meeting, and managed work acceptance and sign-off so that each phase closed formally before the next proceeded. Construction was executed by Tchad Engineering Services (TES), with supervision, materials control and safety oversight carried by the same TAWARA team rather than split across contracts — the model we use on all our Chad assignments.
The outcome. The three villas were delivered as functioning TOTCO office space in February 2026, four months after works began in October 2025, with a documented acceptance trail behind every stage of the conversion. Like every construction supervision engagement TAWARA has delivered — in Canada, Chad and Cameroon — the works were completed with zero Lost Time Incidents.
