TAWARA Group delivers complete engineering for overhead and underground power lines from 12.5kV to 735kV. Our P.Eng designated teams serve as Professional of Record on critical utility infrastructure, taking projects from route selection and structural analysis through to construction support and energisation.

Capabilities

  • Overhead and underground line design, 12.5kV to 735kV
  • Greenfield and brownfield project engineering
  • Line assessment, reconductoring and uprating studies
  • Structural analysis and design of lattice towers, steel poles and wood poles
  • Foundation design and geotechnical analysis
  • Third-party attachment engineering for fibre and wireless carriers
  • Cascade effect and finite element simulation
  • Owner engineer and technical advisory services

Standards and software

We design to NERC, CPUC General Order 95, CSA and CEB standards, and we are expert users of the PLS-CADD suite, PLS-Tower and TOWER. Foundation design is handled in house by our own geotechnical team rather than subcontracted.

Delivery in Africa

The same design standards and software apply on African corridors. Below, a 63 kV double circuit lattice tower designed by our team for the Gakpe to Ouidah line in Benin, photographed after erection and during construction supervision.
